The City contracts with the City of Garland for the treatment of wastewater. Garland owns and operates two state-of-the-art advanced biological wastewater treatment facilities:  Duck Creek and Rowlett Creek. Wastewater is collected for each facility in two separate drainage basins, the Duck Creek Basin and the Rowlett Creek Basin.

Sewer Rates
City sewer rates are $16.42 per month for base charges and $4.39 per 1,000 gallons for volume charges. Residential customers are not billed for consumption greater than 10,000 gallons. The City recognizes that our sewer rates are high compared to other nearby communities. The rates we charge are influenced by the rates we are charged by the City of Garland for the treatment of the wastewater. These costs are passed on to our customers.
