How can I do business with the City?
The first step in conducting business with the City of Rowlett is to complete and return the Bidder/Vendor Application. We will use this information to add/update your company in our vendor database. Once added to our vendor database, we will be able to use a cross-reference function to reveal possible vendors for specific products and services as needed.

How do I obtain a bid tabulation?
Bid tabulations are distributed to the bidders for formal sealed bids as soon as they are completed. Bid tabulations for Request for Quotations are distributed to the bidders after the purchase order is completed. A bid tabulation may be requested by emailing Purchasing@rowlett.com.

How are mowing services bid?
The mowing services bid is separated into 5 sections:
Section I - Neighborhood Services
Section II - Streetscapes
Section III - Right of ways, alleys, medians
Section IV - Park acreage
Section V - Wastewater lift stations
Annual contracts have been awarded for all sections.
Section I, IV, & V will bid again March 2016 providing that all renewal options are exercised.
Section II & III will bid again in April 2015 providing that all renewal options are exercised.

When are City auctions held?
Surplus and salvage items are sold at auction once or twice a year. Most auctions are coordinated by J.D. Newell Auctioneer Services and held at Texas Motors, 8825 S. Central Expressway, Dallas, Texas 75239. Items are sold as is with “no warranty”. The notice of sale is posted on the City Website and in the Rowlett Lakeshore Times newspaper.
