Michael has lived in Rowlett for seven years and is a former employee of Verizon, where he was a process improvement expert. Michael is also an Air Force veteran where he served as a Firefighter and then as a Software Engineering Strategies Officer. Michael was recently employed by Arrow Child and Family Ministries where he recruited and trained new foster parents and staff. Currently he owns his own business, Valicor Enterprises, where he does consulting work in food brokerage and social media.

Michael previously served on the Arts and Humanities Commission and the Mayor's Ad Hoc Bond Committee and is an active member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Fire Corps programs. Michael is also a member of the Rowlett Citizen Corp Council Board of Directors. He is the Chair for Precinct #2529 for the Dallas County Republican Party, President of the Dallas County Republican Assembly and Vice President of the Harborside HOA.

He is serving as a member of the City Council so he can help spotlight the needs of the City as Rowlett enters a critical phase over the next several years. He wants to focus on improved communication, economic development, volunteerism and public safety.

Michael is married to Jill and together they have ten children, seven girls and three boys.
