         Traffic Update

REVIEW THE CITY'S EXTERNAL FUNDING SOURCES

TRAFFIC NOTICE:

Traffic on Kirby Road between Main Street and Miller Heights in Rowlett will be detoured beginning Saturday, February 6, 2010. Vehicles traveling both north and south on Kirby Road, in front of Rowlett High School, will be shifted onto new, temporary pavement slightly to the west. This detour will allow crews to remove a portion of Kirby Road and excavate for the President George Bush Turnpike Eastern Extension main lanes, a process that will take about six months. Later this spring, Rowlett High School's Kirby Road entrance will be closed, and arriving and departing vehicles will be required to access the campus via the Main Street driveways.

A 30 mph speed limit is in effect
in all construction zones in Rowlett.
